Sunset Coast Archers > Beginners Course

The Beginners to Winners 8 week Sunset Coast Archers Archery Course will take you from never having touched a bow to being able to shoot on the main line with club members on week 6.

This is not a 'Give it a Go' archery session. This course is designed so that you will actually see and achieve results that will give you a better indication whether or not the sport of archery is for you.

The club has a number of instructors who will take you through the course.

THE BEGINNERS TO WINNER ARCHERY COURSE COMMENCING ON JUNE 3rd 2012 IS FULL. WE ARE NOW TAKING BOOKINGS FOR THE COURSE COMMECING ON SUNDAY AUGUST 12TH 2012
Numbers are limited so please send the remittance form with payment as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.

You can pay by direct deposit, cheque, cash or pink square cut diamonds.

Sue Gliddon coaching one of our classes. The course goes for 8 weeks during which you will be invited to our club getting to know you sausage sizzles.

The cost is $140 per person with all equipment supplied. There is a discount for immediate family members; For the first two family members the cost is $140 each, third member $100 and other immediate family members $75 each.

People who do the Sunset Coast Archers Beginners to Winners course can continue to use club equipment free of charge once they become a member, unless it is required by the next course. We have a good amount and range of equipment so this in not usually a problem.

Club equipment can be also, subject to availability, by people coming back to the sport or who have done a course elsewhere and don't need any supervision on the main shooting line. In this case you would have to sign a Temporary Membershio form which allows you to shoot for 4 Sundays and pay target fees of $5 each Sunday.

Archery is possibly the only sport where the whole family can learn together. If you are going to book the kids in to a beginners course you might consider doing it yourself and spend a bit of quality time with them. That's priceless as they say!

Courses are restricted to a maximum of 12 people (subject to change) aged from 11 upwards. We may consider younger children where a parent or guardian is taking the course.

Bookings are essential and your spot will only be held once you pay for the course.
You have to attend the first two Sundays to be able to do the course however if you miss any other Sunday, apart from week 7, for whatever reason we will help you make it up if necessary.

All equipment is provided by the club and you will learn to shoot with a recurve bow.

If you have your own bow you may be able to use that depending on the draw weight (how hard it is to pull back the string) and the length of your arrows. These are two important safety factors. The cost for the course is still the same.

Please phone John Dwyer on 08 9382 2433 or fill in our enquiry form if you would like more information.
