Archery is a sport in which the entire family can participate and there are many families shooting together in Western Australia. We have a number of Father Son combinations shooting in our Club. Archery is something you can do together.

Click here for Printable Information and remittance advice for Coaching Classes or we can mail you a form or you can pick one up at the Club on any Sunday morning.

We understand that family-sporting activities can be financially difficult for some and actively discourage parents from rushing into purchasing equipment.

The club will provide equipment for beginners/visitors and members until such time that owning your own can be justified, but please don't buy any equipment until you have spoken to our more experienced members.

Sunset Coast Archers Annual Membership fees are due on the 1st January of each year and adjusted quarterly.

The Membership fees include Payments to AA (Archery Australia) and AWA (Archery Western Australia) for Insurance and other costs.

If you are a member of an Affiliated club in AUSTRALIA or OVERSEAS you can shot at our Club for the cost of Target Fees.

The actual joining fee for Sunset Coast Archers is $20 which each person pays when fees become due.
This $20 is included in the total Membership Fees and goes into a Reserve Fund Account for the future development of the club or Emergencies.

Once a member you can shoot at other Affiliated Clubs in AUSTRALIA and Overseas on paying the appropriate Target Fees.

Target Fees
at Sunset Coast Archers are $8 per Sunday that a Member shoots however you can save if you intend to shoot every Sunday, by paying these up front with your membership fees

Club Shirts and Hats are available to all Members at Cost.

Annual M
embership fees are due on the 1st January of each year and adjusted quarterly for new members (April - July - October)

Affiliate members (individuals or members of Archery clubs aligned with the FITA - this includes many clubs throughout the World) are most welcome to come along and shoot without having to be a member of Sunset Coast Archers. Affiliate members pay a $8 target fee each Sunday.

If you have shot before and looking to get back into the sport you can come along to the club as a VISITOR a maximum of 4 times. You can use your own equipment or ours at no cost. If you just want to watch then you are very welcome.

You are classed as a VISITOR if you have

  • shot before and know the basics.

  • ideally you should be able to shoot with a minimal amount of help and supervision.

  • are not a member of an Affiliated Club.

Cost is $8 per Sunday [target fees] which goes toward the upkeep of Targets.

yvonne on the lineWe will ask you to fill in a 'Temporary Membership Form' to enable Insurance cover, but it gives you a chance to see if you really want to get back into the sport and whether Sunset Coast Archers is the club you would like to join.

This also applies to Archers who may have been shooting on their own (i.e. in the country) and who would like to become a part of a club.

After 4 visits you are required to become a member. This requirement has been set by Archery Australia, again for Insurance reasons.

If under 18 we will need a Parent or Guardians consent signature.

Club members & Affiliate Club Members pay a $8 target fee on the Sundays that they shoot.

The better part of the Annual membership fees go to the Archery Society of Western Australia and Archery Australia for registration, administration, insurance etc.

Sunset Coast Archers only keep $20 of the total fees for administration costs and the cost of replacing equipment.

archers with a disability

Archery is the only sport where Paraplegic Archers (and others with a disability which doesn't effect upper body strength) are able to compete on equal ground with able bodied Archers in Club, Interclub, National and International competitions.

If you have a disability that makes it difficult to collect your arrows our members are very happy to do that. We will also help set up equipment. No problem!
